Have you ever asked yourself what really makes you a Sick Buff?  Is it to see what kind of fire trucks the next town over are operating with?  Or is it that deep down in that dark side all of us, we want to see that house or building burn like a son of a bitch and maybe even snap a photo or two?

Let’s face it boys and girls, you see one fire truck with flashing lights you’ve pretty much seen them all.  What we really want to see is twenty foot flames blowing out a second story window and vinyl siding melting off the house next door from the intense heat.  Lets not forget about some of our favorite sounds like the breaking of glass and the revved up saws cutting into the roof.  Or my personal favorite, the smell of a “rockin job” that you can smell for blocks away and if your lucky go home with your clothes reeking of the smell of smoke!!  Your not alone my friends.

We are part of a society that only other sick buffs can understand.  Three in the morning on a thirteen degree February night.  Your warm in your bed scanner on and you hear the working structure fire transmitted three towns away.  Initial report on the radio, heavy fire second floor.  You like all of us jump out of bed get in your freezing car and race to the scene knowing you have to work at 8 a.m., Why?  What makes you get out of your warm bed to go and stare at a house burning like it’s a giant camp fire in thirteen degree weather?  You like the rest of us are a SICK BUFF.

This clothing line is intended to unite us as one often misunderstood society of firefighters that is sometimes afraid to admit why they really enjoy buffing a fire.
